The place is handy for shops and restaurants, and especially for the beach, which is about a five-minute walk. The apartment itself was disappointing: it wasn't clean, particularly the bathroom, and the shower had mold and smelled of toilet paper. The terrace was dirty and overgrown too, so it didn't feel like good value.

The harbor and dike are only a two-minute walk away, and the terrace, though a little worn, was still usable. The apartment needs a proper deep clean and is showing its age. Dead mosquitoes and other insect remains were on the walls, while the tiny bathroom badly needs renovating, with mold starting around the shower. If you go without high expectations, you can manage a few days there. The building has six apartments, three downstairs and three upstairs.

Anne Bonny has room for four and a great spot, with the beach only a few minutes away over a little footbridge. A supermarket, bakery, souvenir shops, and restaurants are all close by.

Everything is easy to reach on foot from this central spot, whether you're heading into town or to the beach. It's a good fit for three people, and there's parking at the house. We picked up the key ahead of time from the office in the Deichpassage.
