We stayed five nights in the "Fietje" holiday apartment, which is set up for two adults and two children. It’s right in the center, close to shops, restaurants, and a bakery, and we felt at home there. The apartment is nicely decorated and well equipped, though there’s no terrace or balcony. The website said parking was included, but it wasn’t clear where to park, so we left the car outside the pedestrian zone. The kitchen has a small dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, oven, fridge with a small freezer, filter and pod coffee machines, kettle, and toaster. Salt, sugar, and even coffee powder were there, as were dish soap and basic cleaning supplies. Bring your own dishwasher tablets and washing powder. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The sloping ceiling makes the bathroom a bit cramped, but it has what you need, including a hairdryer, toiletries storage, a washing machine, and a dryer. Hand soap, toilet paper, and a bath mat were provided. There’s a baby crib in the roomy main bedroom. Its double bed has bamboo slats, and the mattresses felt a little hard to us. The children’s connecting room has a pull-out couch, also somewhat hard, measuring 140x200 cm. A few lamps were broken. The heating system in a closet outside the bedroom, in the children’s room, was running at least for hot water. The noise and extra warmth weren’t ideal, though the kids still slept well. We highly recommend the oll Freesenhuus!
