The local dishes were good, and there are around 40 different kinds of schnitzel. I also really liked the burger. They have two big screens showing Sky sport.

For our anniversary weekend, I asked ahead if dinner could be served at a specially decorated table. At Hennetaler Hof they did a beautiful job: on Friday there was a white tablecloth, matching decorations, and fresh flowers. The hosts took such care of the bouquet all weekend, brought it out for breakfast and dinner, then packed it carefully for us to take home. It was a lovely gesture. The two hosts were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay over the German Unity Day holiday weekend. Our room was cozy and comfortable, the bed was great, and the balcony looked out over the Sauerland mountains. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. Dinner was a highlight too: the autumn menu was fantastic, and the regular menu classics were excellent. There were vegetarian choices, homemade soups, fresh game, and delicious home cooking, all made with care and high-quality ingredients. Our dog was welcome for an extra €20 for the stay, which was perfectly fine. Everything felt well organized and relaxed, and we felt very comfortable. We'd definitely return.
