The house was very clean, with charming decor inside and out, a nice shower, and coffee and tea in the room. The location was good and quiet, even though it's close to both the train station and city center. Contact by phone and in person was friendly and courteous. The adhesive privacy screens on my windows stopped me from seeing outside and made the room feel a bit confining. Blinds or curtains would be a better option, so guests can choose whether they want privacy. Overall, we highly recommend the place and would love to return.

The apartment feels warm and carefully put together, with everything we needed already there. Its traditional details, like the clay plaster and old beams, give it real character, while the modern facilities and very comfortable beds make it easy to settle in. We were taken with the half-timbered exterior as soon as we arrived. HP2 is much cozier and more lovingly furnished than the sparse apartments you sometimes find.

Inside, the small kitchen has all the basics for a longer visit, including a fridge, microwave, stovetop and coffee maker. The room was spotless, and its detailed industrial-style decor felt just right for the Ruhr area. We also appreciated the easy key-box check-in and the quick, friendly email exchange when booking. It's a charming half-timbered house in Essen Steele, centrally placed but still quiet. Highly recommended.

The Steeler Christmas market was a lovely surprise, just 50 meters from the apartment, and we ended up enjoying it instead of going to the Essen Altstad market on Saturday evening as planned. We had booked for a weekend visit to the Essen Christmas market, and the apartment exceeded our expectations. It was clean, tastefully furnished, and had everything we needed. The key service was very convenient. We'd happily do it again.
