Premier Inn Essen City Limbecker Platz

The room was very clean, and the reception staff were helpful when we realized we’d booked the wrong room type. They sorted it out easily. The hotel is beautiful, and the area felt safe, with lots of families around. There’s indoor parking under the hotel that you can reach by elevator, plus a small area outside where you can park free for 30 minutes to check in and decide what to do. We left the car on Thea Leymann street by the park instead, since it was free and felt safe. A small fridge would have been useful, though it wasn’t an issue for our short stay.

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was decent, and the location suited me perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised given the Google rating. I did hear some noise from pipes or the ventilation system.

We dropped into the bar at Premier Inn Limbecker Platz Essen for drinks and felt welcome even though we weren’t staying there. The space was clean, modern, and comfortable, with friendly, attentive staff who served us quickly. The drinks were well made and reasonably priced. We had a great time and would come back for drinks or a stay.

The bed was comfortable, the shower warm, the staff friendly, and breakfast was delicious. You do have to pay for it, but I thought it was worth it, and it’s free for children. Good value and a good location. Parking is next to the hotel, and a day ticket costs €15 with unlimited exits and returns. The Limbecker platz shopping mall is a five-minute walk away. A few small but useful things were missing, like toothpaste, a toothbrush, hair conditioner, and cotton swabs. Our sofa bed was a bit broken. They offered us another room, but we were too tired to move our stuff. We booked through Booking.com for two adults and two children, ages 4 and 8. We expected to choose one room with enough beds, but every room is limited to two adults and one child, so we had to pay for two rooms. Pay attention before making the same mistake we did. One room would actually have been enough for us: two adults and the 4-year-old in the double bed, and the 8-year-old on the sofa bed. Enjoy your stay!
