The service was very friendly when we stopped in for coffee, cake, and snacks. The Obatzda (marinated cheese), Wiener Schnitzel, and cakes were delicious.

The goose today was cooked perfectly, and the sauce and sides were excellent. That balance of salty and sweet was just right. Excellent food for a reasonable price.

The burg is fascinating, with amazing views and great hiking, and the prices are good value too. I chose this place for the excellent kitchen and its proximity to the Munich airport, but it’s worth making it a destination and staying longer.

The view from the mountain is a definite bonus, and the menu is varied and amazing. Kayten was a smart, well-read host with a great sense of humor and plenty of local knowledge. Fantastic restaurant, and one to make a must-stop.
