Breakfast was the standout for me: fresh, delicious, and varied, with plenty to choose from in the morning. The staff were welcoming and helpful as well. I spent one night at Hotel Am Charlottenplatz and found the clean, comfortable room had everything I needed for a short stay. If you want a cosy, convenient place with an excellent breakfast, I can definitely recommend it.

The staff were very nice, and the buffet breakfast was pretty good, though it cost an extra €12. The hotel feels tired and needs updating. I was on the third floor, only reachable by stairs because the lift wasn’t working. The room was large but bare, with a kitchenette, and I found beetles in the curtains. I understand rooms on the lower floors have been updated, so things may improve in the future.

The staff were helpful, and breakfast was plentiful, though vegetables and fruit weren’t much of a focus. My room was large, with a roomy bathroom and a kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy.

The Wi-Fi was slow but acceptable. Outside noise came through the windows, though, and city sounds could easily wake you up.
