We loved the area around Ettal, and the restaurant food was really good. The hotel and restaurant staff were so friendly, and the Kloster across the street is beautiful. The views are outstanding. We visited at the end of May. There’s no AC, and the window only opens a little, but the room had cooled down by morning. To be fair, we couldn't find a hotel in the area with AC. If you're visiting Garmischparten-Kirche or Oberammergau, staying in Ettal is a good choice.

A nice hotel with great rooms and free parking. Just know it's family-friendly rather than adults-only, so there are often lots of kids at the pool.

The rooms are large, and the staff are friendly. There’s a pool and sauna too, which is a nice bonus. Water was provided and replenished daily, but a kettle in the room would have been useful for tea or coffee. The location is great for visiting tourist spots.

Our room was clean, cozy, and quiet, and the front desk staff made us feel welcome with their kind and helpful manner. The hotel has real charm and character, tucked into the Bavarian Alps beside the monastery. I highly recommend it if you're after an intimate stay.

We've stayed here three years in a row now, and each visit has left us with good memories. The hotel is clean, warm, and quiet, with wonderful multilingual staff. It has an authentic Bavarian village feel, a top-notch restaurant, and a convenient location near popular sights. For us, it's the best hotel in the Bavarian region.
