Backhaus Meeresblick

I’ve stayed with the Kleingarn family five times now, first with my children and this year on my own. This time I had the first-floor apartment, which was spacious and truly spotless, so the cleaning fee felt justified. It had everything I needed, including a sea view, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, plenty of cookware, and balcony furniture. There’s also bread delivery and a reserved parking spot right by the house. For families, the ground-floor apartments are great: kids can head straight to the fenced playground while parents have coffee on the terrace. The beach is about 1.5 km away along a country lane. There are beach chairs and a small snack bar there, run by a very friendly owner. You can drive over too, with parking at €3 for four hours or €0.50 per 30 minutes.

We came back for a second visit and stayed in one of the lower apartments in the apartment building. The value for money is excellent, and the kids will love the big trampoline and playground on site. On our first visit, we stayed in the farmhouse apartments, which were fantastic too. Those don’t have balconies, so they suit couples without children or with a toddler. For everyone else, the main building’s south-facing balconies and terraces are hard to beat. The owner rents bikes, pony rides are available three times a week, and the beach is just 1 km away. We’ll be back!

We’ve stayed at the holiday farm twice now. The apartment was spacious, really clean, and fantastic. It’s very child-friendly, with pony rides and a great playground. If we come back to the island, we’ll definitely stay here again.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was lovely and not far from South Beach. We had to cut our stay short for personal reasons, but we’ll definitely return. We’ve already told our friends and family about the place!
