The apartment was spotless, and everyone was so friendly. 😎👍
We were glad to find plenty of storage, both in the apartment's own little room for drinks and other things and for our bikes. There was even a rack for the car if needed. The grounds are beautifully kept, with lots of room for kids to play, and our ground-floor apartment had comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and was clean and well maintained for the price. The separate electricity and Wi-Fi charges were fair, even though we couldn't check our usage. Fresh towels were provided free on Tuesdays and Fridays, more often than we're used to, and the café across the street was a real bonus for morning rolls, ice cream, and cake. Thanks so much. We'd be happy to come back.
The bike storage was roomy and there were enough parking spaces. We also enjoyed the lovely garden and spacious outdoor areas, and the neighbors' cozy Hofkaffee across the way served us a very good breakfast every day. We were there over Pentecost for some lovely cycling days, but the old attic apartment made the stay difficult. We didn't feel comfortable in it: the carpet and kitchen were very old, the room was dark, and the bathroom looked like it was from the 1970s and wasn't clean when we arrived. One of the duvets had a really unpleasant smell, which we suspected might be from a dog. The house also carried noise easily, and the washing machine or dryer in another apartment disturbed us even at 22:30. We'd gladly return after the apartment has been renovated.
The farm shop is only a two-minute walk away, with its own bakery, breakfast treats at fair prices, and cakes that were divine. The natural beach is also close enough for a nice dog walk, about 20 minutes on foot or three minutes by car, with parking there. We spent Easter at the Klausdorf holiday farm with Mrs. Kleingarn-Bolley for the first time, and we'd definitely return. Our apartment had everything we needed and was spotless. The beds were freshly made, there were plenty of good towels and bath towels, and we could get them changed for free during our week. Our dog was welcome, too. The village is wonderfully quiet, and Ms. Kleingarn-Bolley was incredibly friendly and helpful. Five stars from us. Best wishes from Herne, the Thamm family and friends
The rabbits are a big favorite with the little ones, and there are goats, horses, and more next door. Kids make friends straight away, which lets the parents relax. The place is clean and very welcoming to families, and the owners are friendly and accommodating. In peak season they put on group barbecues and campfire bread, too. Just wonderful, a perfect holiday 😊😇🙏🏻
