Hostel Fehmarn Ferienwohnung

The room for five had its own bathroom and a kitchen with the necessary utensils, plus a fridge and microwave. It was clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and spoke German, English, and Polish. There was no AC. Smoking was allowed in the hallway rest area, and the smoke spread around. Since the rooms are above the local bar, evenings were quite noisy. We stayed one night.

The room itself was nice, but the cleaning was disappointing. There was lots of dust, and hair from the previous guests was still in the shower drain. We didn't even want to use the kitchen.

The room smelled strongly of smoke, the chairs were very dirty, and the bathroom shower needs replacing. The kitchen faucet was broken, and there was hardly any storage in the bathroom. On top of that, a ship docked at night to unload its cargo, then the unloading and cleaning carried on for two days. It was very noisy, and the location was poor. At first we spoke to a friendly woman, but then she became anything but friendly. We couldn't communicate with her. A complete disappointment, with many things going wrong. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was clean and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly during our one-night stay. The employee at the Shark Bar was incredibly friendly and helpful, though I unfortunately forgot his name. We'd gladly stay there again.
