Hotel Schlehdorn

The location was quiet and peaceful, with a gas station nearby, a large grocery store just two minutes away, and Titisee about ten minutes away. There are also plenty of other attractions close by. Private parking is right at the entrance. Our spacious apartment had a beautiful mountain view. The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, with a warm feel and a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was well equipped, including an espresso machine, and fresh capsules were supplied every day. Housekeeping kept everything in perfect condition. Everyone on staff, from reception to the restaurant and cleaning team, was extremely kind and welcoming and made us feel at home. Breakfast was fresh, varied and very tasty. The wellness area was lovely and relaxing, though the gym is quite

We paid extra to stay in the big house, but the room smelled of baby diapers and wasn't cleaned during our four days there. When I called, they said it was cleaned every three days, though I don't understand why. Another day went by with no cleaning. At the front desk, I was then told cleaning wasn't included. A very disappointing experience.

The free wellness areas were great on rainy days, and the in-house restaurant is hard to beat locally. We visited in summer, and the hotel made a great base for exploring the Black Forest. There isn't much within walking distance. The village restaurants that were open were rude and unwelcoming, so stick with the hotel.

The wellness facilities at this Schwarzwald hotel were really nice and had something for different tastes. The chef was on fire that weekend, so to speak, and the food was excellent.
