Pension Zum Grnen Wald

We went to a birthday party here and had a great visit. There's a lovely hall with its own bar, easily big enough for at least 50 people. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable.

We stayed in one of the two holiday homes, which was very new, clean, well maintained, and in great condition. It had modern, comprehensive amenities, including a crib, dishwasher, and comfortable kitchen-diner. The only thing we wished for was a washing machine. The second toilet was a big plus, especially for a holiday home that can sleep up to five people. The restaurant also comes highly recommended. There's a friendly, family feel, prices are extremely fair, and the food is delicious. From the house wine to the simple but very well prepared dishes, everything was good. The chef knows how to season food, something that seems out of fashion in many restaurants now. Prices are already fair, and especially affordable for the quality. The carp is a particular recommendation.

The pond and forest-edge setting was such a lovely surprise, and the grounds were immaculately kept. My room was modern and seemed to have been renovated fairly recently. Breakfast was excellent, and the price was very good for what I got. I stayed on Saturday, April 20, 2024, and would happily recommend this guesthouse.

The holiday homes right by the pond looked top-notch, and the rooms were simple but clean. It’s a quiet spot, with benches by the water, lovely nature and no heavy traffic. I had a peek into the kitchen, and as a trained chef I thought the quality looked very good. The homemade pizza and big schnitzels looked delicious. It feels like a little hidden gem run by a family who’ve built the whole place around peace and quiet. Keep it up! 😊
