The location was so handy, close to the Exhibition Centre and Airport, with coffee bars, a bakery, and restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away. The owners were incredibly kind and made us feel as if we were at one of the best hotels in the world. Our room was impeccably clean. Breakfast had lots of variety, and they kept replenishing it whether we arrived first or last. There were welcome bottles of water in the room, and free coffee or tea was available any time of day or evening. One of the best stays we’ve ever had. I’m very happy and grateful we got to stay here.

What I appreciate most is how pet friendly the hotel is, while keeping designated rooms for pet owners so other guests can avoid allergies. The breakfast buffet is prepared with care, from fresh strawberry mousse on yoghurt to bacon and eggs, with something for everyone. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the staff are friendly, flexible, and helpful. I come here regularly and wouldn’t look for another place. Hotel Merlin is superior in every way. Thanks, family Stickel, for putting so much love into every detail. I’d give it 10 stars if I could! 🌟

We booked at the last minute for the pumpkin festival, and the owner was quick to respond. They made room for our dog and even had an extra bed ready for our toddler when we arrived. The breakfast spread was amazing, and the staff made us feel welcome even though we don’t speak German. The train and bus station, as well as plenty of good places to eat, are within walking distance.

I booked a room for 103 euros, but my card payment didn’t go through. I emailed them to explain that my flight would arrive at 8:20 pm, and they said that was fine. The listing said check-in after 9 pm cost an extra 5 euros. I arrived ten minutes after 9, and they had cancelled my reservation and tried to charge me 120 euros. The woman working there was very rude and told me to leave if I didn’t like it. Not worth that much money.

The staff were professional and kind. Everything was clean and orderly, with comfortable beds, solid modern rooms, new bathrooms, and a nice breakfast.
