Kavaliershaus Schloss Blücher

The food and the chef’s enthusiasm made a big impression on us. We spent two lovely hours at the Klassenzimmer restaurant in Fincken in November, and the service was outstanding from beginning to end. We felt like VIPs the whole time. Just wow.

The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, and €17 per person felt more than fair. We could tell a lot of care had gone into it, and the chef was friendly too. We’d booked easily, with a very friendly appointment arrangement, and Ms. Schneider kindly made breakfast possible at 11:00 a.m., even though breakfast time had already ended. She welcomed us warmly when we arrived. Since the weather on March 8th was so lovely, she set up a table outside for us on the spot. That thoughtful touch made the start of International Women's Day feel special. Ms. Schneider also showed us the lovely barn and the lake beside it, as the place hosts weddings and other celebrations. Our expectations were more than met. It’s a charming place with a hostess who really cares. We’ll definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it. The price made the evening especially memorable. If you know what Berlin prices are like, you’ll be very pleasantly surprised. We were there on a Monday and had a five-course meal: a delicious homemade aperitif, then an appetizer, soup, fish, meat, and crème brûlée. The wines were excellent, and the chef’s personal touch came through in the food. He stopped by with advice and a few words about each part, which made it feel like a little culinary journey. It still feels like a bit of a hidden gem, and everything about the place felt just right. I’d give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Thanks for a wonderful evening. We’ll be back! :)
