The setting is lovely, and the food’s nice. Things move a little slowly, but that’s part of a slow-food kitchen.

We’ve come back several times with the family, including on Boxing Day 2025. The menu has plenty of variety and is thoughtfully put together with regional inspiration. Everything we’ve eaten has been excellent, and the staff are friendly and attentive, which makes for a really pleasant atmosphere. We’ll definitely return.

The food was delicious, the setting fantastic, and we thought the prices were very good for what you get. This was our first dinner at the Sennhütte mountain inn, though, and the service left a bad impression. There seemed to be tension among the team, which can happen, but hearing one colleague repeatedly criticized and gossiped about in front of guests felt very uncomfortable and inappropriate. Sadly, the service came across as completely unprofessional.

We stopped at the restaurant in the Hotel Sennhütte after visiting the Black Moor. Our table was beside a large window with a fantastic panoramic view. The food was delicious and good value, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Despite having lots of guests, the place felt cozy and pleasantly quiet. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the service was good. It’s a beautiful house close to the "Black Moor" with a great restaurant. We’d happily visit again.
