It’s cheap, but really uncomfortable. There’s a strong smell throughout the building, bedrooms included, like cheap toilet cleaner. The furniture looked cheap, and it was broken and dirty too. There were lots of hairs on the bed’s headboard.

The whole place still smelled of food left by previous guests, and the kitchen didn’t even have an extractor fan, which felt unsafe. The room was freezing because the heating didn’t work at all. We had to make our own beds, which is unacceptable for an Airbnb, and the towels were still wet rather than properly dried. Absolutely terrible. I want my money back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The room hadn’t been cleaned by late afternoon. They offered me another one fairly quickly, but by then I’d seen the first room and the staircase, and had already struggled badly to find the lockbox, breaking two fingernails in the process. I went over to Ibis budget instead, where I got a sparkling clean room three times the size, with a huge shower, for just 13 euros more. At 52 euros, this is far too much for what you get. It’s a rundown shack furnished with the cheapest garden furniture. The lockbox directions also left out that you need to go through the neighboring house’s passage. I can’t recommend it.

Right in the heart of Flensburg, Flensburg City 24h is a handy, wallet-friendly place to stay. The rooms are clean and cozy, and surprisingly affordable. Whether you’re spending time wandering the charming streets or just need somewhere to sleep for the night, it’s good value and convenient. Highly recommend it for a budget stay.
