Arivo Aparthotel

The restaurant serves good quality food in very large portions, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, too. The location is very convenient. The one thing I missed in my room was an iron.

The service was very helpful. The hotel feels comfortable and has been renovated or is relatively new, with air-conditioned, well-equipped rooms. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and cost 15 EUR.

We spent 12 weeks at the Arrivo while looking for a permanent apartment in Forchheim after relocating to Germany. Moving to a new country is stressful, and the people there made it feel much easier. The staff were wonderful, friendly and always ready to help. We felt like part of the family. Our apartment was laid out thoughtfully, with the kitchen and dining area, bedroom, and living room clearly defined. The bathroom and second bedroom were separate. That second bedroom was smaller, but still had plenty of space for clothes, shoes, and our luggage. The bathroom had a huge shower and enough storage for soaps, shampoos, and everyday necessities. We could request cleaning and fresh linens whenever we wanted, and the staff doing that work were thorough and friendly. The building was still under construction, but it was beautiful. We liked the inviting mix of rustic charm and industrial style in the lobby and Gutlands. The restaurant opened a few weeks after we arrived, and Gutlands served exceptional local cuisine with phenomenal staff and service. Great place, great people, and great food!

I stayed in two types of room. The comfort apartment with a city view looked out over the city, church tops, and Forchheim train station. I didn't notice any impact from noise or trains. The other was a comfort apartment with a balcony and mountain view. I preferred the mountain view for watching the sunrise. Both rooms were the same size and had the same facilities, and I'd like to stay again. The rooms were calm and had good temperature control. The reception, breakfast, and restaurant staff were friendly. There was a smart TV with Chromcast, extra beds and pillows in the closet, a proper kitchen, an electronical kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, and a Kitchen Box available by asking at the desk. The shower had a big sunflower shower head, and there was a dishwasher, Refrigerater, and microwave. Gutland has good restaurants with beer, and the hotel is a nice place to travel from for the city center and shops. The exercise room smelled of chemicals, maybe because it was new. The restaurants are so popular :-) and there's no vending machine, so use the bar.
