B&B Hotel Freiburg-Nord

The hotel itself was good, but paying for breakfast without being told the hours was frustrating. On Sunday it didn’t open until 0730, which didn’t work when I had to be at work at 0800. When I returned at 0730, the room was completely packed, with nowhere to sit or eat.

We used the hotel as our base for a week of trips around the area, and it worked really well. It’s on the edge of town with a forest view, and we never noticed outside noise. Wi-Fi was excellent, and there were always staff around when we were by reception. The beds were soft and clean, rooms were serviced daily, towels replaced on request, and there was always hot water for a bath. Breakfast came with hot drinks like cappuccino, espresso, latte and hot chocolate. There was plenty of parking on site for a small daily charge. Three fast food places were within walking distance, handy if we’d missed a meal, and a large supermarket nearby stayed open until 10:00pm. Good value for money.

For a hotel in this price range, the service and price were a good match. The reception staff were especially friendly. We had a great experience.

The bathroom light only worked now and then, but everything else was fine. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was tidy and breakfast was good. It was quiet during the weekend, even though the hotel is in an industrial area.
