Parking was handy, with roomy spaces and fairly easy directions to follow. They sent detailed instructions before arrival, and there's direct underground access to the hotel, which helps with heavy luggage or bad weather. It is a bit pricey at 30 Euros a night, though that seemed pretty standard for a central European city-center location. The hotel is modern, stylish and very clean, right on a pedestrian street in the middle of the old town. Everything is walkable. Our deluxe double was spacious and spotless, with a comfortable bed, a view of the Rathaus and a great rain shower. Reception and breakfast staff were polite and efficient, and everyone spoke English. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and good quality throughout. I'd definitely recommend it for a city break in Freiburg.

Breakfast was plentiful, kept topped up, and staff cleared used dishes quickly. Just note the bar is closed on Sunday night, which is common around here, so coffee wasn't an option then. We were lucky to get a room looking over Rathausplatz. With the windows shut, the triple glazing kept it very quiet. The bedroom was comfortable, though a kettle and mini fridge would have been nice. We stayed six nights, and while the bedding was changed, the towels weren't, which seemed odd. The hotel is right in the center of Freiberg's old town, with easy access to trams and the train station.

I had to cancel because of a sudden health problem, but the hotel staff were kind and fair about it. My booking was officially non-refundable, yet they understood and offered a solution without hesitation. That humanity made an impression on me. I'll happily stay there when I return to Germany.

A cozy hotel in the middle of the Old Town, in a great spot. It looks like it was renovated recently, and the work was done nicely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Even in the center of town, our room was really quiet. It had been renovated recently and was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was amazingly convenient, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options.
