Hotel Stadt Freiburg

I couldn’t sleep because the factory lights stayed bright all night. There’s a factory next door, and with construction going on, it was noisy and the air was really bad. The hotel is far from the city center, the staff were unfriendly, and breakfast was very bad. The room was too small, and the carpet on the sofa was dirty and dusty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned. No advantages at all.

The location made it easy to reach key attractions and facilities, and my one-bedroom suite was exceptionally clean and well organized. Every detail seemed well cared for. Mr. Reda was professional and courteous, and the lady at the reception café was kind and welcoming. My stay exceeded expectations and felt truly refined. I highly recommend the hotel and look forward to returning.

I stay at the Stadt Freiburg Hotel regularly for business, and the lunches are superb: generous portions, lots of flavor, and reasonable prices. The service is consistently polite and professional. The location isn’t central, but it’s still good, with public transport nearby and a reasonable walk as another option.

We paid €225 in total for one night, including an extra €15 for parking, and it felt like a rip-off. The room was small but adequate for one night. The bathroom was the real problem: it smelled of sewage, and the shower had no pressure. I called reception and was told maintenance had left, but that I should get a discount at checkout the next morning. The staff member said they’d made a note. The problem was still there in the morning, and my wife felt it was impossible to shower. At checkout, the woman seemed surprised and knew nothing about a discount. There was no discount, just another note about the broken shower. We’d also paid an extra €25 per person for breakfast. It was seriously overpriced for what was offered, with barely any fresh fruit or the other things you’d expect at that price. A disappointing stay, with a sad breakfast and a broken shower.
