The waiter was amazing, keeping a close eye on things and bringing each course once we'd finished the last. The food was really good, and the rooms were tidy, well appointed, and super clean. It's a small, cheap and cheerful German hotel out of town, with lovely staff who spoke little English. You're in Germany, so get over it and around it. Some might think it needs updating, but I loved the 70s look. It's half the price of a modern chain hotel, and there's a garage for the motorbike. I'd definitely come again.

It's a clean, nice, affordable place, especially if you can get an offer for two rooms together. WiFi only worked in reception, not in the rooms. The hotel is a good choice if you want to be in the Black Forest away from noisy cities, though it can feel like the middle of nowhere. Freudenstadt, the nearest town, isn't too far away.

Everything was clean and the beds were decent. Staff were polite, though they don't speak English. Breakfast was good but didn't have many options, and the food was good too. Nice hotel.

The family room and bathroom were quite old, and I had no network. There was Wi-Fi at reception and in the restaurant, though. Dinner was inexpensive and very good, and for the price it's a very good stopover hotel. Two stars off because the staff don't speak English.

The breakfast was good, the room clean, and the staff friendly. Service was great overall, much better than at the chain hotels we stayed in in the cities.
