We had a fantastic range of choices at breakfast and enjoyed the walks to the skylift, as well as the views. The location and hotel were a hit with us, and the owners were so kind and friendly. We came from Spain to see the Black Forest, and we’ll be back soon!

Room #7 was roomy and quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable. The big balcony shown in the picture was ours. Breakfast had scrambled and boiled eggs, cold cuts, three kinds of bread, plain and strawberry yogurt, cereal, orange and grape juice, tea, coffee, and probably a few more things I’ve forgotten :) They also asked if we’d like cappuccino or hot chocolate, then brought generous servings. It was all included in our fare.

The location worked perfectly for us, and having a pool and sauna available was a nice bonus. We found the rooms comfortable and the service very kind. It felt like excellent value for money.

It takes about a 30 minute walk to reach the railway station. There’s no lift, and the breakfast choices are limited.

At breakfast I noticed lots of little flies on the food, which wasn’t good. My towel was on the floor when I arrived, and the bed hadn’t been made up well. The rooms also felt old fashioned, and the WiFi didn’t work.
