When I got sick while touring Germany by bicycle, I went to the hospital without my bike and needed a place to stay nearby. I ended up at Pemsion Schmid. After I explained what had happened, the owner offered to drive me back to my bicycle the next morning, about 20 km from the hotel, at no charge. That was a generous thing to do when I needed help, and I'm very grateful. The room was clean, and breakfast was amazing, with lots of delicious choices. Please support this business. They helped me a lot when I was in a difficult spot. Thanks again! This is a picture of the owner driving me back to the house where my bicycle was when I got sick. Many thanks!!

The rooms are simple and functional, and the place was clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We didn't find the beds especially comfortable, though there were spare pillows and blankets on the wardrobe. Our street-facing room got a little noisy in the morning with the window open, but it was fine with it closed. A small room trash can would have helped, as the bathroom bin wasn't enough for us. Coffee and drinks were available in the lounge at more than reasonable prices, really good value. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, and the whole-grain rolls were delicious. I wasn't keen on the prebaked rolls, but that's just my personal taste. All in all, a lovely stay. Thank you!

We especially enjoyed the breakfast, and the rooms were clean and well kept. The guesthouse is quiet, with older, simple furnishings. Rooms overlooking the garden have balconies with stunning views of the Bavarian Forest mountains. Free Wi-Fi is available, and drinks can be had at any time. The coded key box at the entrance is a great idea, since it lets you arrive at almost any time and collect your room key. We'd gladly recommend this accommodation.
