The room had a big picture of a child wherever you looked, which felt a bit creepy. It was noisy outside, and the blinds didn’t close all the way, so a lot of light came into the room. The place is near a train station and the shopping street, but there are shared toilets and showers, and we had to wait 15-20 seconds for the light to come on. Parking was confusing too. A kid showed us where to park when we arrived, but when we were leaving the owner of the parking lot complained that we weren’t allowed to park there, even though we’d paid for a spot. The price wasn’t consistent either: we paid 20 for two days, while booking.com listed 9 per day and the paper we got showed yet another price. When it was time to leave, we couldn’t contact the owner to return the keys because the phone number we’d been given didn’t work.

It was actually good, with free beer and so on, and I would have given it five stars. But I left my shaver there and the owner refused to return it for no reason. I even offered to cover delivery, but still no.

The real deal-breaker was the €105 deposit. My wife saw the guy come into the room holding €105 and put €5 straight in his pocket, then leave just €100 on the table. When I said it was €105, he said, “Oh yeah,” and took the €5 out of his trousers and put it down, without apologizing. I deliberately didn’t react at the time because I knew I’d mention it here. I can’t see that as a mistake when the money was pocketed first. An apology could have prevented this. Another detailed review here in English only confirmed the feeling I had about him. The room was adequate for one night, though it felt like a workers' dorm, with fluorescent lights. The hallway toilet looked rather dingy, but having it there was okay since it was just for us. The bathroom around the corner was shared, though supposedly nobody else was on our floor, so we had that to ourselves too. It was enough for a quick wash. We booked for two adults and two children, aged 12 and 16, on the day itself. There seems to have been a small booking error, with the children listed as 0 years old, but they still gave us the room without an extra charge, which I do appreciate. The young man who showed us the room, toilet and bathroom seemed a bit odd to me from the start, but he was friendly and showed us everything. The total was meant to be €115, including the key deposit, taxi fare and parking. There were about six parking spaces and only one was occupied, so he had to work out which one I could use. He couldn’t give change for €120, so we agreed I’d give him €105 the next day.
