Before heading home from a short stay in Friedrichshafen, we stopped to shop at the Fahr farm shop. It’s small but packed with seasonal vegetables, apples, jams, and other homemade goods. The owners were friendly, and we were very impressed with what we found. I’d happily recommend a visit. Just bring enough cash, since they don’t take cards.

We were just passing by when we stopped in. The apples were crisp and sweet, and both their quality and price were very good.

We’re already looking forward to coming back. The garden’s barbecue area made for lovely evenings outside, and the Echt Bodensee Card was handy for free bus and train rides and discounts at many attractions. We stayed for a weekend at the Fahr fruit and holiday farm, in the modern, roomy, cozy Kirschbaum apartment. Fresh apples and homemade juice from the farm were such a treat. Their shop sells what the Fahr family grows and makes, including fruit, juices, liqueurs, and jams. It’s a peaceful place to enjoy nature and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for people who love good food or a quiet break.
