Ferienhaus Nordseerobbe

We had a relaxing holiday, and the house is well equipped, with a large, private garden that's perfect for a family with children. The location is lovely, but it isn't on the beach as advertised. It's right behind the dike, with salt marshes beyond it. Cleanliness was a real problem. We found pacifiers under the mattress, chocolate wrappers under the bed, dirt and dust under the couch, and cobwebs around the dirty windows. The frames especially need a proper cleaning. It smelled a little like dog when we arrived. The bathroom radiator was disgusting, with something stuck to the bottom that I couldn't identify. The fridge-freezer was broken: the freezer door wouldn't shut, so food kept thawing. At the end of the stay we also found a plate with eggshells and dried food scraps on the very back of the top shelf in the bedroom wardrobe. I hadn't planned to write a review, but the landlord didn't respond to my complaint about the eggs at all. It was basically, "What do you want now? You're leaving tomorrow anyway." That's just pathetic.

The holiday home was beautifully furnished and had its own garden, with the sea right nearby. It's an idyllic spot with a lovely atmosphere, and everything you need is close. You couldn't ask for a better holiday!

There's a good amount of space, but the place really needs cleaning before it's rented out. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.
