Simmerdeis an der Gracht

The landlady was so friendly and welcoming, and you can see how much care went into the details. We felt right at home in this lovely vacation apartment in Friedrichstadt. It’s tastefully furnished, cozy, and has everything we needed. The location is fantastic for a relaxing stay. We’d happily come back, and absolutely recommend it.

We spent a long October weekend in this wonderful loft in Friedrichstadt and felt at home straight away. Steffi was warm, attentive, and helpful, and it was clear that she cared about our comfort. She was always easy to reach and friendly when we had questions, while we still had plenty of privacy and could relax in peace. The apartment was clean, well cared for, spacious, and furnished with great taste. There was room to settle in with a book, and everything was prepared for a comfortable break. We especially liked the small thoughtful touches, including fresh eggs and homemade jam waiting for us. The amenities covered everything we wanted, right down to a milk frother. We had a very relaxing stay and would gladly return. We can wholeheartedly recommend the apartment.

The landlady was lovely and took care of everything. Staying in Haus Simmerdeis felt a bit like being guests at a friend’s place, while still having our own space and five-star comfort. Four of us, all women over 40 ;-), came looking for a relaxing week, and found it with yoga, canoeing, hikes, and trips with friends. The cozy house is under the roof, with a view over Friedrichstadt and a good feeling about it. There’s a yoga or Pilates room with mats, so no more excuses! The place is furnished like a five-star property, with unique art on the walls. It’s sunny, spacious, and central, with great beds. I’ve never slept so well in a vacation rental. There are two double beds, enough for at least four people, and a fantastic kitchen. We could use the canoes and paddle on the canals in the early summer sun. We also took the direct train to Sylt, and visited Föhr, Husum, and even Flensburg. We’ll be back soon!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The loft was spotless and had everything we could possibly need, plus more. When we arrived, there was a sweet little surprise from the landlady on the table, chocolate and eggs. It feels like home as soon as you step inside, and the place is furnished with so much taste and care. A perfect 100%, and highly recommended. Other places could learn a thing or two from this one.
