The grandchildren had a great time picking apples and eating them as they went. It was a special outing for my wife, them, and me, and I’d love to return. There’s a great range of apples at reasonable prices, especially since you pick them yourself. Until next time!

At Gut Altenoythe, a small organic farm, there’s a shop selling bread, cheese, juice and handmade ice cream from the region. You can also find fruit and vegetables grown in the garden.

We had such a great time picking apples there two years ago, and we’re hoping to go again this year. I’ve found the opening hours now. Do they stay the same during apple-picking season? Can you pick apples on Sundays too?

There’s plenty of parking, and everything is on one level, which also makes it good for kids. We went to the farm festival and had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly, prices seemed very reasonable, and there was a good selection, mostly regional products.
