Hotel an der Mälzerei GmbH

The rooms were canceled without any hassle after I explained the problems, and the woman said she'd talk to the cleaning service. Still, we won't book here again. I had arranged rooms for a few mechanics, but luckily my colleagues found somewhere else and didn't have to stay. Basic furnishings would have been fine if things had been clean. A lot of items were broken.

The refrigerator was the one useful thing, though its freezer door was broken. Over my five days there, nobody cleaned the floors, and there was an annoying knocking sound every morning at 7:45. The toilet kept running after each flush and needs adjusting. The room felt monastery-like, with very little furniture and no mirror or clothes hooks. I got my key through a food hatch, had to pay straight away, and there was no reception.

The room was spacious, clean, simple, and everything worked. We stayed for one night on a cycling trip with our children along the Vilstal cycle path. Picking up the key was easy, and we could charge our batteries. It was quiet, so we felt comfortable there with the kids.

Clean, and fine for a night. The blinds wouldn't shut.
