The cleaning staff were the one bright spot. They were helpful, though they didn’t have much to work with. I stayed in a room, not the restaurant, and can only recommend it to someone desperate. It feels stuck in the early 70s: cramped, with random furniture you can bump into at night, plus frayed towels and bedding. There’s no soap or shampoo in the showers, either. It seems no money has gone into the place since Herbert Kirchberger extended the main guest house. The Greek owners now running it seem incompetent, and the price is too high for what you get.

I won't be coming back after how I was treated. Before checking in, I bought a bottle of red wine, then realized I needed an opener in my room. I couldn't go to the bar because I wasn't dressed suitably and it was crowded, so I asked someone in the kitchen. The young girl with black hair first tried to open it herself, then got angry when she couldn't. She slammed the bottle and opener on the table outside, shut the door in my face, and shouted that I had to go to the bar. It was really rude and disrespectful. Such a shame.

Parking outside, a clean and cheap place, and a really positive experience. Nothing to complain about.

Dinner with my wife was delicious. We had Frankonian specialties, including asparagus and sausages with potato salad.

The service was great, and the German food was very good.
