Hotel Am Dom

Breakfast was a delight, with a great range of bread, muesli, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, and eggs. Staff kept replenishing everything. Our room was spacious and brightly decorated, the beds were super comfortable, and we loved the bathroom so much we'd want one like it at home. We also enjoyed opening the windows instead of using air conditioning. The hotel is in a very quiet area, a short walk from the dom and the city. Staff were friendly and attentive. We visited Fulda for the Tom Jones concert on the 21st July 2022, which was wonderful and magical, and stayed at the Hotel at the Dom. There is no mini-bar in the rooms, but cold drinks and snacks are available from a ground-floor vending machine at great prices, with glasses and a bottle opener supplied. If we return to Fulda, we'll certainly stay at the Hotel at the Dom again.

The rooms were modern, clean, and nicely furnished, and the breakfast was good with very hospitable hosts. There was sufficient parking within walking distance. This part of the city has beautiful old buildings and walls, and it's a great hotel in a lovely location.

I changed my rating because four stars was too much. The people are nice, but the standard isn't very high, and breakfast was only average. My room wasn't ready when I got it, and the heating was completely off. I hope these little problems get fixed in future so I can change my opinion too.

The room and equipment were well maintained, and everything was very clean. Staff were polite. The surroundings were noisy despite the hotel being on a small lane, with a very popular restaurant 200 meters away. No air conditioning, though. Really?
