We found Mühle Tornow a great stop on our cycle trip, just 2km from the Berlin to Copenhagen cycleway and about 75km north of Berlin. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and well furnished, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was fantastic, with a buffet full of fresh fruit. The menu was fairly priced, with tasty, nicely presented food and interesting vegetarian choices, which suited me well. The restaurant sits on a quiet road, with lovely gardens and a pond that make outdoor dining pleasant. What's not to like? 10/10, highly recommended.

The food is still excellent, which makes this a real shame. I've been eating here for 4 years and had always been happy until yesterday. My server was grumpy and inhospitable, scowling the whole time. He was cordial to other diners but made me, a woman dining alone, feel like a huge bother. There was no friendly greeting when I arrived and no nice goodbye. I've worked in gastro for most of my life, and my rule is that you leave your problems at home. Maybe he was having a bad day, but now I'm afraid to go back. This used to be my favorite place in the neighborhood. I can spend my hard-earned money elsewhere. 😔

The free Wi-Fi was reliable throughout our stay and ran at over 24Mbps, and the restaurant takes credit cards. We also enjoyed the included breakfast and would recommend the restaurant for dinner. The staff were friendly, and both the property and our room were beautiful and well cared for. It was a quiet, peaceful city, and I liked having an automatic coffee and tea maker in the room with capsules included.
