Hotel Roter Hahn - Bed & Breakfast

There's a pool and sauna, a garden with mountain views for relaxing in warmer weather, and a ski room with boot warmers for winter. The hotel has a cozy Bavarian feel, is extremely clean, and the staff are friendly. The lady there gave us great suggestions for things to see and do. It's family-run and very centrally located, close to both the train station and town center.

We spent three nights here and everything was as promised, and even better. The owners were very friendly and helpful, with good tips on places to visit. Breakfast was very good, our room was clean, and we enjoyed the pool and sauna. It's centrally located, which made getting around easy and fun. Free parking on site, too.

Traveling with kids can be hard, but the people at Roter Hahn really helped us out. We had a very nice time in Garmisch, and they made it even better. We can happily recommend the place. Our room was large and nice, and having the pool and sauna so close was a real plus. The location was great, and breakfast was typical of the region. That's not a bad thing at all, German B&B breakfasts are pretty great, in my humble opinion.

I'm glad now that I didn't stay there. I only rate the booking and reservation experience, not the rooms, since I had to cancel and never stayed. I booked through booking .com, where it wasn't clearly stated that families, especially those with children, weren't allowed. Most standard hotels accept families, but this one has restrictions, so be careful. I found this out too late and had no choice but to cancel. When I called, the man on the phone was extremely rude, as if I'd committed a crime by booking. At the very least, he should have spoken politely.
