Hotel zur Post - Economy Rooms

I’ve been staying at Hotel Zur Post for more than 10 years, and it’s been fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional, the rooms are just right, and the restaurant consistently serves good-quality food. There’s a real feeling of happiness and joy here. The best!

My wife was pregnant when we fled Irpen, near Kiev, at the beginning of March. We made it to Gdansk, where we were offered a move to Germany and told things would be better there. The people who brought us were connected with the hotel owners, or perhaps their acquaintances. They unknowingly took us to the refugee camp in Bramsha. It was filthy and unsanitary, noisy, and there was nowhere to sleep or even lie down. The horror of that place, far away in the forest, is hard to put into words. We contacted the people who had brought us, explained what was happening, and sent photos and videos because they weren’t allowed into the camp. They came to get us and said we could stay at the hotel for a while. We would even have been willing to sleep in a hostel bed, but instead they brought us to Garrel and settled us here. When we saw the room, we were moved to tears by their kindness and understanding. We stayed for several days and were treated like guests, and they didn’t charge us a cent. We’re deeply grateful and will never forget what they did. When things are favorable for Ukraine, once the war is over, we’ll definitely come back. To anyone thinking of staying here, do. Everything is wonderful, the restaurant is excellent, and the staff are the best people in the world. I’d give it 100 stars if I could. And special thanks to the people of Germany for supporting us through such a difficult time.

The spacious rooms were clean and very nice. Breakfast was very good, and the restaurant was decent too.
