The quiet setting made it a lovely place to stay. Breakfast was good, and the host was really nice. Definitely worth a visit.

The grape harvest was a highlight. We got to watch it up close, and the owner explained winemaking with real enthusiasm. The estate itself was a pleasure to stay at, with spotless rooms and a lovingly furnished room that opened onto a balcony overlooking the fields. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared each morning, with everything from orange juice and homemade wine jellies to fresh scrambled eggs. We had a wonderful vacation and would happily return. You can tell the owners love what they do.

We’d come back to the Christ winery for the wines alone. We’ve tried wines in lots of places across Germany, but keep finding our way back to the Christ family’s bottles. We also celebrated our wedding at the Rebblüte estate and would choose it again. The Christ family were warm, accommodating hosts, both during the planning and at the celebration. Our guests were happy with their rooms and breakfast, and the whole experience was wonderful.

The terrace breakfast, prepared with care by the owner and looking out over the greenery, was a lovely touch. At €90 including breakfast for a double room, it isn’t cheap for a country inn in this spot, though I felt it was worth it. The guesthouse belongs to the Christ winery, family-owned and run since 1880, and has six rooms plus a family apartment. It’s a beautiful Tuscan-style country house in the middle of Rheinhessen’s wine region. A peaceful place for a good night’s sleep, whether you’re on holiday, hiking, cycling, passing through, or attending a social event. There are wine tastings and fine treats to enjoy, then the memory to sleep on.

The apartment room for three was well equipped, and we loved the view of nature. Still, we were somewhat disappointed after booking one night. The crib was broken, the electric blinds only worked partly, and the price didn’t include a bottle of water per person. I’ve stayed in several inexpensive holiday apartments lately, and even those provided one bottle for each guest.
