Candypartment Sweets 'n Sleep

My 9-year-old son and I loved this super cute apartment and all its little details 🍬! The mattresses were comfortable, the amenities were great, there were tasty sweets, and the service was so friendly!!!!

My six-year-old daughter was thrilled with the Candy Apartment, but I don’t think we’d return. For what a night costs, I expected more, especially for the sweets to be available. Some jars felt sticky, and the few chocolates looked past their best. The candy decorations in the bathroom were crumbling too. There was also an ugly mark on the bed cushion, which should come off with a good upholstery cleaner. It’s worth seeing, but we wouldn’t come back.

The idea behind the place is great, and spending a night in this land of milk and honey was fun, though I can’t say yet if I’d make a second trip. We paid €140 after traveling three hours, so I expected more. The candy bar lighting didn’t work, it wasn’t as full as in the online pictures, some sweets were sticky, the Mars Bounty Snikers bars were missing, and some of the other candy was fake. The slot machine by the bed was broken and only had sticky sweets. The wallpaper over the bed was peeling, the bed edge was dirty, and the fridge noise at night was really annoying. Wi-Fi and Netflix didn’t work either. In the bathroom, the socket wobbled so much we worried the whole thing might come out when unplugging the hairdryer, and the door couldn’t be opened from inside when fully closed. Sorry for being so critical. We contacted the owner about these problems after leaving, but got no reply 24 hours after our WhatsApp message. Good luck in the future.

We left right away after a strange man started messing around at our door. The owner still hasn’t replied to my message. We couldn’t sleep there as three people, and I’d told you we were going home, but heard nothing. You can reply now, I see. Nobody treats me like that. You’ll hear from me, that’s a promise. What a waste of the money we worked so hard to save. Big 1, and I’ll never come back. The flat was strange and smelled incredibly sweet. There’s no elevator, so our suitcases had to go up six flights of stairs. Things seemed broken, including the pillows and chairs, and the table was sticky. The candy was old, and my daughter nearly broke a tooth on it. The TV was tiny and awkwardly positioned, almost impossible to watch from the bed. The listing said there was an oven, but there wasn’t one, so we couldn’t heat the pizza we had. It was meant to sleep three, but the supposed sofa bed was a dirty old gaming chair, something for relaxing, not sleeping.
