Communication was good, and the room was simple and very clean. The only problem was that people were allowed to smoke in the kitchen right next to our room. At two in the morning they were talking loudly, and smoke came into our room.

Never again for us. The Wi-Fi was supposed to be free, but didn’t work. We were glad to get out once the night was over. The shared bathroom was filthy, with urine and feces in the toilets and hair in the sink and shower. We didn’t want to be the last ones to use it. When we left, we had to drop the key in a mailbox because, once again, nobody was around. We understand now why staff aren’t there, someone would be complaining every five minutes. We booked a double room for one night, with check-in listed as 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. No one was there during those hours. We tried calling and only got through on the third number we copied from the window. The person who answered was immediately unfriendly and verbally abused us when we explained the booking name and asked why nobody was there. They said we should have called ahead with our arrival time so staff could be present. The owner supposedly emailed and called us repeatedly, but we never got a call, though we always had our phones with us. Two emails had gone to spam. When we asked how long it would take for someone to come, we were told 20 minutes. Luckily it was sunny. In winter with small children, that wait would have been unbearable. Someone finally arrived after about 35 minutes. Check-in was rushed: bill, payment, a look at the room with the door left open, a look at the shared bathroom only from outside, and the shared kitchen with a comment that smoking was allowed. Then the person left. We got our luggage from the car and found the bedding smelled strange, the candy was years past its expiration date, and the toothbrush cups weren’t wrapped as usual and looked like cups from a doctor’s office for urine samples. The TV had at most 11 channels, just the ones requiring a licence fee, with no other entertainment. The shared kitchen was extremely dirty. One of its two stovetop burners was broken, the microwave was heavily yellowed inside, the other appliances smelled strange, and the wood was swollen in places. Two guest rooms are connected to that kitchen, so the constant smoking must be very unpleasant for non-smokers. Electrical wires stuck out of the walls and ceiling, which didn’t seem safe for children. The rooms facing the busy road were extremely noisy, a nightmare even with the windows shut. We booked this place and went through all that, so spend 5 to 10 euros more and book a hotel.

A disaster. Mice, power cuts, loud music, people shouting constantly, dirt, and a bad smell. NEVER!!!!
