Pension Isartal

We’d definitely come back. The family room is very spacious and well furnished, with everything you need. Though it’s in an industrial area, the neighborhood itself is fairly quiet and residential. Breakfast was nothing special, but adequate, and the owner clearly tries hard to make it nice. There were a few small things that could be improved, but we had no real complaints.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and I hadn’t booked breakfast, so I can’t say anything about it. I knew the location when I booked, so it didn’t affect my review. I also want to thank the staff for the excellent service. I was arriving late and had forgotten to call during opening hours, but a quick, friendly phone call sorted things out. Even at 10:00 PM, a staff member appeared to give me a warm welcome.

The room was okay for the price, with several sleeping options, and we were otherwise quite satisfied. There were too few places to hang things, including hooks in the bathroom. Breakfast was very simple with a limited selection, though it was okay. The main issue was a lot of mold near the shower, apparently because the ventilation is insufficient. I told the staff member and asked how they deal with it, but she said she didn’t know because she hadn’t been there long. She seemed unaware of the mold and said she’d pass it on. Since it isn’t new, the staff and owners should already know and accept it. There were also minor misunderstandings with one contact person because of a language barrier. We’d gladly return once the bathroom has been renovated.

The mattress was the one good thing. There’s no roof over the toilet, and the room feels furnished without any plan. There’s just one closet, only 40 cm wide, and a small desk. At least everything is available nearby.
