Hotel Landhaus Müllenborn

That balcony and its wonderful mountain view are what make me give this place four stars. The scenery is spectacular, the area is quiet, and there are plenty of good walking routes nearby. Staff were friendly and kind, breakfast was good, the sheets were clean and soft, and there was a mini kettle with great coffee. The room had separate beds for a couple, with a gap in the middle that made sleeping together really difficult. The mini fridge didn't cool, water spread across the bathroom when we opened its door, and the dryer was very weak. Most employees didn't speak English, so communicating was quite a challenge. At another hotel, these problems would have earned three points from me, but the view is wonderful.

The surroundings are lovely for walks and relaxing, and we had a great weekend at Landhaus Müllenborn. The staff were very kind and the food was good. They didn't seem very accustomed to cooking for vegetarians, but we'd expected that, so it was fine. I didn't plan to use the fitness room since I wanted to walk in nature, and it had much less equipment than I have at home, basically nothing. I'd recommend the place for a relaxing weekend.

Away from the main road, this hotel has secure parking and superb routes for motorcyclists through lovely rolling countryside, with plenty of coffee and cake shops for breaks. The rooms are high quality and well appointed, and the attentive, cheerful staff provided excellent service.

The restaurant dinner deserves five stars, and the view from our room was spectacular. The location is beautiful, and the staff were so friendly they remembered our room when we came for breakfast the next day. Those little details make you feel welcome. Unfortunately, the beds weren't great and we had trouble sleeping. We didn't tell reception since we were only there briefly and it didn't seem like an easy problem to fix.
