A restful break for two, and we'd happily come back. The cabin felt like home, and we're grateful for the wonderful time. There are books and games inside, so you can read together, play in the evening, or sit by the fireplace and unwind. With no multimedia or multitasking, we could simply listen to nature or head into the forest for a hike. It was a holiday in harmony with nature.

This chalet is tucked away in the Volcanic Eifel, right beside Eifelsteig trail stage 9 (Am Auberg). The bakery and other necessities are only a 10-minute walk away. It's well set up, with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. There's a wood-burning stove for heat, no TV or internet, and very rustic furniture, but everything was perfectly fine. It offered a real chance to unwind, with no luxury, just peace for mind and soul. The owner was very friendly, and our dog was welcome to stay overnight. It's ideal for nature lovers wanting to get away from everything, though perhaps not for anyone looking for more luxury. Those guests might want to ask about a holiday apartment in the house.

Comfortable holiday apartments in a lovely setting, with a great garden, a very friendly landlady, and nature all around.
