I stayed for four days in April 2017, and Alte Munze really came through for me. This family-run hotel was a pleasure to stay at, and the food was good. When I needed a long extension cable to reach my car, they went out of their way to find one. The second day was fully booked, but I still needed a room. They let me use a single bedroom without a sink or shower, then moved me into my room as soon as the other guest left. It felt like an answer to prayer. Thank you, Alte Munze!

To me, this isn’t a hotel at all, just an old house.

Our room was at the back and quiet, and the friendly hostess let us check in early without any trouble. There’s free parking at the house too. The rooms have a clear 70s style, as the website photos show, but cleanliness needs work. We found dust and cobwebs in ours.

We were served by a couple who were incredibly nice and helpful. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly place.

Room 1 is spacious, but it’s right by the sidewalk and has a musty smell. I’d recommend the other rooms upstairs instead. There’s a little tea and coffee bar in the hallway, and the hosts are very friendly and helpful.
