Appartements Fischerhus

The apartment itself has a lot going for it: it’s cute, with good furnishings and amenities, in a great location, and there’s a delicious, convenient bakery around the corner. It could be a place to feel at home, but several things made our stay unpleasant. The shower drain was clogged, and the initial cleaning wasn’t adequate. There was lots of dust, and the balcony and its furniture were very dirty and neglected. At night, especially, we heard beeping, humming, hissing, and knocking, possibly from the restaurant or deliveries. The bed linen had a large hole, but after we called the landlord, it was replaced. The staircase was unkempt, the disinfectant spray by the entrance was empty, and the cleaning lady’s vacuum in the cleaning room was broken with no suction. There was no vacuum in the apartment either. The windows had no fly or mosquito screens, so nights were very warm. A bedside lamp was broken and should have been checked. The landlord wasn’t available on site, and arranging a meeting was only possible by phone. Contact was hard because later communication went through a third party, the cleaning lady. She denied details that mattered to us about cleanliness, and the apartment wasn’t cleaned again as the landlord had promised. Some stated COVID-19 precautions also weren’t followed, for example, food from previous tenants was left in the kitchen cupboards. I’d generally be happy to stay again, but the concept would need some changes.

The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are friendly, and the food is all delicious. Still, the portions didn’t feel worth the price, and even the girls were still hungry. At least there are currywurst and fish sandwiches 100 metres away.

The apartments are comfortable and tastefully furnished, with parking right outside. The beach is very close, about 150 m away. We’d stay again.

We especially enjoyed being so close to the beach, and the landlady was friendly. The apartments were lovely and clean :)
