Landhaus Hofmann

The owner was so welcoming, and the whole stay felt easy from start to finish. We were there for nearly two weeks as a young married couple and had everything we needed in the bright room: a double bed, bathroom, and little kitchenette. The rooms are even nicer in person than they look on the website. The walls are a bit thin and the beds creak, but that was about all we could fault. It's a lovely, peaceful spot to relax.

The owners were very friendly, and I'd happily stay again. The rooms were clean, the price felt fair, and there was parking on the property. Getting to a sandy beach takes a little driving, about 15 minutes by car. For three people, though, sleeping arrangements may need a bit of negotiation: the third person gets a sofa that doesn't turn into a bed. I can't say if that's true of the other rooms too.

The apartment was clean and matched the pictures exactly, and the Hofmann family gave us helpful ideas for places to eat and relax around the island. We had a small toilet problem, but they sorted it out quickly. It's a quiet spot in a central part of the island. Sagard is about a five-minute drive away for the bakery, Edeka, Aldi, Lidl, and other essentials. The family were kind and helpful throughout, and we're already looking forward to returning. I can definitely recommend Landhaus Hofmann.

The apartment has plenty of potential. It's in a peaceful setting with a glimpse of the water and a broad view of the surrounding nature, and there was lots of space in the Meissen apartment. The owner, I assume, was friendly and easy to approach. Landhaus Hofmann was simple to find, and there was parking for everyone, though it could feel tight and getting out depended a bit on the car. A few things need attention. The furniture is getting old, and the kitchenette could use an update. At this price, a dishwasher and freezer would make sense. The kettle was broken and wasn't replaced while we were there, and the fridge creaked whenever we opened it. The bathroom was very clean, but the shower head and faucet need descaling because water sprays in every direction. Cleanliness was mostly okay, though some corners, especially behind the TV, could use a better look. The dishes from the previous guests hadn't been washed properly, so we washed them ourselves. Our ordered linen packages were forgotten until we asked. The playground also seems worn: the swing squeaks and could use oil, and the other equipment could be improved. The Wi-Fi was very slow, but it's supplied by a third party, so I don't think the accommodation provider should be blamed for its quality. It was hard to write a review below five stars, but a few improvements would make this a really nice place, and I'd give it more stars after that.
