We were three people staying at Pension Zur alten Bäckerei and had dinner at the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with lovely attention to detail, and we felt at home right away. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and it was clear that making guests feel welcome matters to them. We all chose the same pizza, with small changes like no pepperoni or mushrooms, and the requests were handled happily and without hesitation. The menu had a really good range without being overwhelming, and the prices felt more than fair for the food, quality, and service. A lovely place to unwind and enjoy a meal. We’ll definitely be back! 🍕❤️

Breakfast is brought right to your room each morning, and they can make it as early as 5:50 a.m., which is useful for tradespeople. There’s plenty of it, and you can ask for changes. The Krüger family are always glad to hear requests or suggestions. The guesthouse is right on the market square, and the hosts are very friendly. Just be aware that the stairs aren’t suitable if you have mobility issues.

We stopped by while passing through with our two children and ate here. The food was very good, and the service was really friendly.

I called on the spur of the moment to book one night, and the guesthouse got back to me quickly and in a very friendly way. The room was clean and comfortably furnished. I felt right at home and would definitely return.

The guesthouse reopened on October 1, 2023, and all the rooms have been renovated. Google has unfortunately combined the old and new reviews because they share the same address. Please only consider reviews posted after October 1, 2023.
