Frauenpension Arleta - Women only

The homemade breakfast was sensational, with more than one kind of bread, plus homemade jams and spreads. I happened upon this guesthouse by chance and found the owners warm and attentive. The rooms are named after gemstones and have a sink and shower, while the shared toilet is in the hallway. That didn't bother me, especially in a women-only guesthouse. It's right by the forest on the edge of town, so it's wonderfully peaceful.

The conservatory makes such a cozy spot for breakfast, especially in autumn and winter when the fire is crackling. It's a lovely place to unwind.

We felt very much at home and would definitely book here again if we need a place in Goslar. Doris was flexible and so accommodating. We had made a spontaneous phone booking for a double room on Saturday afternoon after visiting the Christmas market, deciding it was better to stay overnight than drive home. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave very early the next day, so Doris packed us two lovely lunches with fruit and vegetables, eggs, homemade bread, and other treats, along with coffee and juice. The women's guesthouse has a charming feel. Our room had its own bathroom, though some rooms share one.

Hiking trails begin right at the house, and the old town is about a 20-minute walk away or a short bus ride. Arleta's is a welcoming place on the forest's edge, with a natural garden full of cozy spots to relax. The hostess is attentive and understanding. In the conservatory she serves her guests homemade bread creations, jams, and tasty spreads, which make a lovely start to the day. It was easy to chat with other visitors. My Goslar holiday at Arleta's felt relaxing and inspiring, and I'd love to come back.
