Haus Waldwiese

The apartments look lovely, with sturdy furnishings and a nice view, but our stay had several serious problems. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend the place. The apartment was freezing when we arrived in the middle of winter, around -4/-5 degrees Celsius. The heating and appliances, even the refrigerator, had been switched off. It took a long time to warm up, which was especially hard with small children along. The route from the street involved stairs and a short walk behind the building, all covered in snow and ice. The children and I slipped and fell badly. Their sofa bed was so wobbly it nearly came apart. There was also a pricing dispute. We booked by email after being offered €92 each, plus final cleaning, twice. At the property we were charged €98 per night. When we asked, they called the lower price a typo and wouldn't honor it. On top of that, there was a constant feeling that extra options, like using the fireplace, were being pushed at hefty prices to get as much money out of guests as possible. We're dissatisfied.

The conservatory was the best part for us. The apartment was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a lovely view. Breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. A very nice place, highly recommended.

Dogs can stay for an extra charge, and breakfast is included. This is a lovely apartment hotel in Hahnenklee, with friendly owners who take care of everything with real attention.

Everything was great. I'd definitely recommend it. 🙂
