It was okay.

The staff were very friendly, but we can only agree with the negative reviews. The annex feels nothing like the main building, and whether a place has three or four stars, it should still be clean, tidy, and welcoming. The booking photos are misleading because some show the main building. When you leave the elevator, carpets are right underfoot, cobwebs are everywhere, and the downstairs door looks uninviting. Our room smelled odd, especially the bathroom, which reeked of smoke. The emergency exit sign was lying in the hallway, most TV channels didn't work, and all the coffee in the room had been picked clean. It's just a cheap dive. Once the road is cleared, you'll be glad to have booked a room right on the main road. Never again!

It was quiet, and the room was clean, though the bathroom was very small. The location worked well, with a bus stop nearby and the train station easy to reach. The monastery hotel is about 900 meters away, but because we ate there and a bridge was closed, we had to take a big detour each time.

We booked four double rooms, but one had only been made up for a single person. When we phoned, we were told the staff had already finished for the day, so we should get the linen from the garage and make the beds ourselves. There was only one set of towels, too. Completely unacceptable. We won't ever stay here again.
