The mattresses were comfortable, and the rooms felt cozy. It’s a lovely small hotel with a nice atmosphere, and breakfast had everything we needed. We felt welcome.

For €48 a night, I got a lot: a clean room with a bathroom and balcony, modern amenities, a very comfortable bed, TV, Wi-Fi, and a really good breakfast with freshly made scrambled eggs. It was also wonderfully quiet, and the host was friendly. Great value, and nothing was missing. 👍

I spent four nights there with my dog at the start of July and paid €120 for half board. For that price, I got more than I expected, and I’d return if I’m in the area again. The location is fantastic for a dog, while town is still quick to reach. The rooms aren’t new, but everything worked. Cleanliness could’ve been better, though acceptable for the price. Breakfast had what you need, and the coffee machine was very good 😉 I’ve had better breakfasts, but paid more for them. The menu leaned heavily on convenience foods, which seems hard to avoid at this price, and I was satisfied. I actually liked the owner, who gets criticized in other reviews. He answered all my questions, and I prefer an honest person to someone always trying to flatter me. Please stay that way 😉 There are a few things I could criticize, but not at this low price 🙃

The breakfast was generous, and the rooms were fine, especially clean. It’s a quiet guesthouse and a good choice for a short Harz Mountains trip.
