The owner was the one disappointing part. We didn't find him very approachable and got the impression he was annoyed. You only see him briefly at breakfast, though, and usually don't have much more to do with him, so don't let it spoil the stay. It was just noticeable, and maybe this isn't the right job for some people. Otherwise, this small hotel is highly recommended. Our room was lovely, clean, spacious, and had good mattresses. Breakfast was perfectly fine too.

We especially enjoyed the quiet location for exploring the area, the fantastic breakfast selection, and the freshly prepared egg dishes. The owners were incredibly friendly and attentive to how their guests were doing. At Hotel Villa Strandkorb, you can relax in a beach chair just outside the building, which really fits the name ;) We had a very relaxing holiday. Many thanks to the whole team! 🙏🏻

The Wi-Fi was weak and not properly secured for our needs. Although encrypted, it had no client isolation, so we used mobile data for a steadier connection. Room service was another problem: towels were changed only once a week, and then only because we'd left them on the floor. The room was cleaned just twice in five days. These issues eventually made us cut our vacation short. We also didn't feel welcome. Maybe we simply didn't get the hostess's humor, but the way we were treated felt like being back at school, especially when we reported a clogged drain. It wasn't friendly or professional. We don't understand the positive comments from other guests about the hosts being friendly and helpful. When we asked for an extra cup of coffee before breakfast, we had to argue before getting it. Our expectations weren't met, and we hope this feedback helps improve future stays.

Our last-minute holiday on the Baltic Sea was wonderful, and we want to thank the owners, the Müller family. We only had three days here, and next time we'll definitely stay longer. The hotel is in a quiet location, and the no-children policy was very important to us. Our room was spacious; the bathroom was a little small but had everything we needed, with a shower, toilet, and sink. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast service was excellent. The beach is about 800 meters away, with fine white sand and no bothersome stones. There are two very good restaurants within walking distance. Many thanks to the team, and greetings from Saalfeld 👋
